Burning Man: Preparation - Reno

US-395 Exit #64, Moana

Going NORTH on US-395, most of the shopping will be found on your left on Moana.

However, there is one very worthwhile thing to know about EAST of US-395, and that is Simply Water – one of the five Water stations in Reno. To get there going northbound on US-395, turn right on Moana, then left on Neil Road, and then left again on Gentry. It will soon be on your left, with the airport being on your right.

Back, the other way down Moana from exiting US-395, westwards, a strip mall is where Sportsman's Warehouse and Aloha Sushi are located.

Staying on Moana, you will quickly come to Kietzke Lane. If you turn left (south), Nu Yalk Pizza is on the right, and further down the road are King Buffet and a Winner's Corner Convenience Store and Gas Station, behind both of which is a huge parking lot fronted by Saver's thrift store, Grocery Outlet, and Harbor Freight Tools International.

Peckham Lane is the major cross street here, and turning right (west) onto it, you will soon find your way to the Atlantis Casino Resort (a favorite among some burners). Across Virginia Street from the Atlantis is Raley's Supermarket, which is surrounded by other strip mall stores.

South of here, you will find the South Virginia and Kietzke Lane hub.

Also, back on Moana Street, you can also access El Monte/Budge RV-Truck Rentals from this area, one of the few places that still rents to Burners! Turning Right on Kietzke Lane from Moana, about 1/4 mile up, at Gentry, take a left, and you will find El Monte on your right.

The Plumb Lane hub also lies north of here.

Further down while staying just on Moana, across Virginia, and going down about 3/4 mile, you will also find the largest liquor store in town, Ben's Fine Wine & Spirits.

A fellow burner who loves taking care of fellow burners, Steve is making sure there are enough RV and trucks in stock for us, and is not ratcheting up the price structure for Burners like some other places. Still recommended that you reserve ASAP!
