JRS VOLUME #10; ISSUE #10
December 28, 2005
Sigh. Nearing the end of a lovely year.
What do we have for you here? JRS from El Paso, Texas? Yes, I'm en-route to visit Mike Wilson and friends (you have heard us encourage you to see/buy and enjoy his film, "Burning Man: Beyond Black Rock") for NYE. I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable NYE on Dec. 31 while we wait for our other NYE in the desert! I expect those in the Bay Area that enjoy Anon Salon events and Decompression will enjoy the "Sea of Dreams" celebration for NYE and the night before. I mean, what do you expect when people involved in producing it are heavily involved in Burning Man? One player is "da P 2 da Q" our faithful webmaster (aka: "project manager") and loyal volunteer for the Artery who has used his connections to rope in all kinds of art and interaction from BMan 2005 into the four walls of the massive Concourse Exhibition Center. Kinda "holy shit" if you ask me. Frankly, I'd go just to see Kid Beyond...he's super cool.
And, while you're waiting for the new year, and if you're a skilled accounting clerk in the Bay Area, consider working for the man! Send us your resume. New Zealand regional event!? Ticket sales for the Las Vegas Dark Skies? And, do you know when ticket sales to Burning Man 2006 begin? I do, read for more info below!

Hey, Beyond Black Rock is a lovely film, sold out in LA for several nights: <http://marketplace.burningman.com/catalog.php?act=view_prod&id_categ=26>)
Have you participated in the poll about this year's theme on the home page yet? http://www.burningman.com, and for those of you who send me the wonderful stories about your experience at the event this year, feel free to share (or read) the stories we have under "Personal Reflections" on our web site. http://www.burningman.com/blackrockcity_yearround/tales/
For those who've asked...<http://www.revbilly.com/> They are fine, doing well after the bus accident in Ohio (right near the town I was raised) and have finished their adventures in stopping shopping...and our beloved Actiongrl is coming home (after 5 weeks away helping with a film about Rev. Billy's adventures). We missed her.
NEW YEAR's EVE in San Francisco!
Ya know, I was looking over Joegh Bullock and Playaquest's shoulders recently as they were pouring over the layout for this party. I can only imagine what sort of party this is going to be. Really! I've love the other venues, but they're taking on an even bigger task going to this space. I think they'll pull it off. Have FUN ya all!

From our regional newzealand (at) burningman (dot) com:
Two short and sweet items for your next JRS.
1. NEW ZEALAND - Kiwiburn3 regional festival. Golden Bay, South Island 2-4
January 2006. Contact Yonder Man Mark at newzealand (at) burningman (dot) com for details. We expect this to be our biggest and best New Zealand burning man event yet. Will be held on the beautiful Rainbow Community lands near Takaka town. In addition to the man-burn, drums and firedancing of previous years, this one will feature more art and also cdj music. We expect 200 to 300 people this year.
2. Santacon New Zealand is nothing to do with kiwiburn and kiwiburners. We have had no part in all that.
Thanks and merry Xmas!
