Coffee Shop
Welcome to the hottest coffee shop on the planet! The Center Camp Café coffee shop offers over 120 feet of linear counter space, some of the worlds tastiest coffee, the best machines known to man, a complete beverage menu, and more shade than anywhere on the playa.
Over 500 volunteers create, build, run, and clean the world's largest coffee shop every year. It's a great place to interact with the thousands of Burning Man participants who have gathered from around the world. If "all the world's a stage..." then our Café volunteers each play a starring role.
The coffee shop offers 4-hour shifts 24 hours a day, starting 7 am after the gates open on Monday and ending at 3 pm Labor Day Monday for the following positions:
- Barristas:
Making coffee drinks is an art form, involving style and
attitude. Our friendly barristas kick ass and facilitate the entire coffee culture.
Come make coffee in the chaos of Black Rock City.
- Cashiers:
Interact with thousands of Burning Man participants
all looking to you for their morning, afternoon or evening caffeine
fix. We need outgoing types with extra personality to run registers
and serve drinks.
- Support:
Got a strong back? We need you to assist in setup,
stocking, cleaning, and trash detail. You'll love the refrigerator truck
in 110 degree heat!
- Criers: You know who you are. These larger than life individuals direct traffic, provide information, and play with the crowd.

An enormous community travels to the Black Rock Desert every year to create the Center Camp Café.
