Northern Edge of Reno

From I-80, take US-395 northbound at Exit #15 toward Susanville to reach this shopping hub. You soon come to Exit #70 at North McCarran Blvd. You found Northtowne. All of what you will be looking for will be just on your right (east).

Home Depot will be on your left, and WinCo Foods, Party City, and Fat Burger will be on your right, with some other stores, gas stations and fast-food eateries also in the area. Ben’s Fine Wine and Spirits will be down about 1/2 mile.

Or if entering Reno on US-395 from the north, as you first begin to see the entire vista of the city, this will be your first exit.

Open 24/7.  Newly expanded and cleaner store, lots of bulk foods with produce and beer and booze as well. Some organic and natural foods selections. Can also fill your 5-gallon water containers here too.

Black Rock Bicycles offers a variety of affordable new and used bikes for rent or purchase with burners in mind. There are two different options to getting your hands one one of these great bikes:

You can either pick up/drop off a bike from their facility just north of Reno.  You will need to reserve with them right away by sending an email to   randy (at) blackrockbicycles (dot) com

The other option is picking one up at some local stores.  Check out the KeystonePlumb, and Pyramid Save Mart locations for further details.

Black Rock Bicycles also has various supplies (lighting, baskets, bells, locks, etc.) for playa bike life. to help make the journey to the playa easier, customers can ship their supplies to them 30 days prior to Burning Man, have them stored without charge, and pick the supplies up along with their bike on their way to the playa. They’ll also ship your supplies back to you after the Burn for the cost of the shipping (items must be boxed and ready to ship).

Open Sun-Thu 11am – 8pm, Fri-Sat 11am-9pm. Great burgers with meat options, chicken, turkey, and veggie, plus salads. Burger sizes go up to 24oz dubbed the XXXL. You get your picture on the wall if you can finish that 2000 calorie beast!
