Reno - RV Parks, RV and Truck Rentals, and Storage
Renting any size recreational vehicle the week of Burning Man is almost impossible in this area as the summer approaches, so plan ahead and book early if you’re looking for enlightenment in an RV or trailer.
The RV Parks listed below tend to have RV dumps, are busy around Labor Day, and it is always recommended that you check for reservations as early as possible. Most of these locations are part of one of the shopping hubs we’ve broken out in the greater Reno area. However, the first two RV parks are west of Reno along I-80 and would be among the first things you’d encounter once you cleared Donner Pass and crossed into Nevada on your way to the playa. Most RV park operators are aware and appreciative of Burner business. However, please help us all out by maintaining Leave No Trace, behaving responsibly, and showing respect to the operators and guests wherever you go. Continuing to live up to our respectful reputation will only help us all find a warmer welcome the next time we avail ourselves of these resources!
If you need to know where to get rid of all that trash you’ve tied onto your vehicle or the greywater bouncing around in there, please visit the Fernley, Grand Sierra Resort, and Recycling, Dumps, and Greywater pages for appropriate disposal services.
Also, Storage facilities are all over the place, but we’ve included two as our favorites.
RV and Truck Rentals
El Monte/Budget RV and Truck Rentals
85 Gentry Way – 775-825-8833 – (Plumb Lane) – (Moana)
One of the very few places in the region to rent an RV or truck for the playa. Burners are asked specifically to contact the owner Steve at 775-846-2725 or at renotruckrental(at)yahoo(dot)com to make rental arrangements. A fellow burner who loves taking care of fellow burners, Steve is making sure there are enough RV and trucks in stock for us, and is not ratcheting up the price structure for Burners like some other places. Still recommended that you reserve ASAP!
