Burning Man Passes BLM Inspection (html)
Black Rock City LLC, the organization that hosts the Burning Man event, once again passed its annual clean-up inspection this month. The inspection is conducted by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) on the Black Rock Desert in Northern Nevada, where the annual arts event is held over the Labor Day week.

Burning Man Receives 2003 Permit From BLM (html)
Agency Commends Organization for Environmental Responsibility. The U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has granted Black Rock City, LLC, a permit to produce the 2003 Burning Man arts event on the Black Rock Desert in Pershing County. The event will be held August 25-September 1 this year, in its traditional timeslot which includes the Labor Day weekend.

Burning Man Files Suit Against Washoe County (PDF - 52 k)
Black Rock City LLC filed a lawsuit against the Washoe County Board of Commissioners and Washoe County, seeking to avoid penalties related to the four special use permits we were denied for the staging area on our property at Black Rock Station.
